Flower essences are vibrational remedies — gentle, safe preparations that carry the energetic imprint of a flower. Not the scent, not the chemistry, but the particular quality of being that flower embodies. Its resilience, its grace, its specific way of meeting the world.
They work on the emotional and energetic body, supporting you in moving toward your own wholeness. A flower that knows how to trust the unfolding can teach that quality to the person who needs it most. A flower that stands tall in harsh conditions carries that courage into whoever receives it.
Used for nearly a century as tools for emotional healing, flower essences are subtle, non-toxic, and work beautifully alongside any other healing practice. They are not medicine — they are nature’s own wisdom, bottled with intention.

Meet Keya
I am not a clinician. I am a woman who fell in love with Hawaiʻi over 20 years ago and never left — because the islands have a way of keeping the people who truly belong to them.
My path to flower essences was not a gentle one. In 2012 I was diagnosed with cancer — and that experience cracked me open in ways I couldn’t have anticipated. It was then that I was introduced to flower essences and a wider world of energetic healing. What began as a lifeline became a lifelong practice, and sharing this work has become an important part of my path.
I have spent over two decades immersed in the culture, the land, and the healing wisdom of Hawaiʻi. I taught for years in a school rooted in Hawaiian values, and that experience gave me deep reverence for the spirit of love that lives in this place and in everything I create.
I work primarily from professional practitioner collections — including Desert Alchemy flower essences, the Bach flower remedy system, and the Gaia’s Wisdom collection — drawing on their depth and breadth to find the right flowers for each person. I also draw on my knowledge of astrology, including a specialist Desert Alchemy astrology flower essence kit, for those who wish to have their birth chart considered as part of their blend. On occasion, when I feel called, I may also incorporate essences I have made here in Maui, born from a lifelong attunement to the natural world and a particular affinity for the wisdom of flowers.

They are quite different. Essential oils work through scent and chemistry. Flower essences are vibrational — they carry the energetic imprint of a flower, not its physical compounds. They have no scent and are taken as drops under the tongue or in water. They work gently on the emotional and energetic body.

Keya works primarily from three professional practitioner collections: Desert Alchemy flower essences, the Bach flower remedy system, and the Gaia’s Wisdom collection. Each system brings its own depth and character — together they give Keya a wide and nuanced palette to draw from. She also works with a specialist Desert Alchemy astrology flower essence kit for clients who wish to have their birth chart woven into their blend. On occasion she may also incorporate essences she has made here in Maui when she feels called to do so.

Yes — if you’d like your birth chart considered as part of your essence, simply include your date, time, and place of birth in your questionnaire or mention it during your consultation. Keya works with a specialist astrology flower essence kit from Desert Alchemy and is happy to weave this layer into your blend.

Flower essences are considered extremely safe and are non-toxic. They are not known to interact with medications. However they are not a substitute for medical care — if you have health concerns, please consult your healthcare provider. These are vibrational remedies, not medicine.

Full instructions will come with your blend. Typically flower essences are taken as 4 drops under the tongue, 4 times a day. They can also be added to water and sipped throughout the day, or you can put a few drops in a bath if you wish to bathe in the flower wisdom☺️. Another option is to put a few drops in a diffuser with your favorite essential oils. Consistency over several weeks allows the essence to work most deeply.

A 1oz dropper bottle at the standard dosage lasts approximately one month. Many people find they want to continue with a refill or a new blend as their needs evolve. Use your intuition, most people find that when they first begin using the essence they use it frequently (you can’t take it too often or take too much), and as the wisdom begins to settle in your system you start to use it less and less.

Yes — and many clients do. As you move through one season of healing, a new blend may be called for. Follow-up consultations are available at a reduced rate for returning clients.
